Awesome kit

Very nice kit. Went together very well. I found the installation video on YouTube. I did end up using higher quality speakers. It probably paid for itself in 2 days I played so much. Would buy agian.

So much fun!

I spent an afternoon with my 12 year old son, converting his 1UP. The kit and video make it very easy to follow. A couple things I learned. This won’t work for a horizontal 1UP screen. If only I had paid attention to the description where they say in big bold letters “for VERTICAL machines only”. No worries, we found an old computer monitor in the garage that works great and is much larger & better quality that the 1UP. When we got that sorted out, it was difficult to control some games. This is they 2nd thing I learned - switch the joystick from 8 way to 4 way. Once we worked that out, it’s an awesome system! What an inexpensive way to have arcade level games at home!! Quality father/son time and he learned something about sawing, drilling, wiring, etc 😊

A little more DIY than I planned but worked out great!

First off Shane from DIY is a HUGE help, and was super polite even when I asked silly questions! The kit was put together with 1st gen cabinets in mind, I have a 3rd or cabaret cabinet style, which has some small differences. First was I needed 3" speakers instead of 4" to replace the stock speakers in the cabinet, and another power splitter along with adapter to get power the the factory light up marquee (Still 12v but uses smaller power connector). Also ended up needing more / longer speaker wire due to the speaker location being different from 1st gen cabs, but again all pretty minor issues. The 60-in-1 is great for what it is, however be advised it has some limitations. The sound is probably the number 1 complaint, from some games being to loud, others to quite, to a few games with just poor quality sound. This becomes very apparent when comparing to newer MAME systems, or even Pandora Box based systems. However, if you keep the cabinet at low volumes or install a volume knob that can be reached, it's really fine for guests and casual play. Also while the 60-in-1 will hold high scores, it will not save your initials after a power off! Last is the 60-in-1 is pretty sensitive when it comes to 4-way vs 8-way sticks, whereas MAME is pretty tolerant these days to using a 8-way stick for a 4-way game. However this has nothing to do with Retro DIY! All in all I am very please with the kit they put together. I mounted the service buttons on the back, they are reachable from the front, the rest is pretty standard, this machine has joined my others for my home arcade. Thanks again!

Great Kit

It comes with everything you need except the screws as advertised. There are good videos to help on YouTube. This one is my go to cabinet now. Really like it. It sounds a lot harder than it is.
