I bought an off brand joystick to go with my Jamma board but it didn't very well at all. This joystick works much like the original joystick on the arcade games. The wiring is much easier than the cheap joystick especially with one ground wired and a connector. The one thing about this joystick is the shaft is a little short but this only affects the feel not performance. I wish I had bought an extender at the same time but I can still do that.

Great quality. Accurate stick! It plays surprisingly well on 4-way games as-is but will be adding a 4-8 way switchable gate. I had a Sanwa style before and the genuine article is definitely better.

Joystick movement is very smooth. NOTE: Mine came with the plug facing right. Simple fix to change it to the correct position.

I'm too old and too new to give any feedback on playability, but I like it better than what came in the Super Pac-Man PartyCade. Shipping was fast, and a much needed cable that i didn't order came included; because DIYretro knows what they're doing. Thanks a bunch!!! (I put the stock A1UP in a homemade laptop hybrid thingy, made form an old printer desk)
